A huge snowstorm covers Gracetown in a feet of snow. Many crazy things begin to happen because of this, all on Christmas Eve. In Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle, there are three fantastic Christmas love stories in one book, and they all seem to connect with one another.
In the first part, called The Jubilee Express, a girl named Jubilee is on a train to her Grandma's house because her parents got arrested in a shopping rage. Her train gets stuck in a blizzard, and she ends up in a waffle house in Gracetown. Then a boy named Phillip invites her over for Christmas, so she wouldn’t be alone. This causes many problems, like Jubilee’s boyfriend being distant from her.
In the second part, A Cheertastic Christmas Miracle by John Green, three friends named Angie, JP, and Tobin decide to venture out into the blizzard to get to the waffle house. They have a few bumps along the road, including their car getting caught in a snow drift. Also Angie and Tobin find themselves falling for each other.
Finally, in the last part, The Patron Saint of Pigs by Lauren Myracle, a girl named Addie just got over a huge breakup. She just wants to stay home all day, but when her best friend needs her to pick up her new pet pig from the shop, Addie totally forgets and the pig is sold to another person. While she is dealing with all of this stress, her ex-boyfriend contacts her. You’ll never guess what happens next. All of these events happen right before Christmas, which adds a lot of chaos.
I rate this book 8/10 stars, just because I wish the stories were longer. Ultimately, this is an awesome book and I recommend it to all John Green fans.
